A Season of Expansion, Softening, and Coming Home

It has been quite some time since I last sat down to write a blog post.

And if I’m honest, that has been very intentional.

Over the past several months, life has been full in the most beautiful and meaningful ways.

At the beginning of this year, Hubby and I bought a house.

Not just a house, but a home.

A place where we can truly exhale. A space that feels deeply aligned with the kind of life we want to create as a family. Finding it, securing it, moving, unpacking, and slowly settling in has taken a tremendous amount of energy, but it has also been one of the most rewarding experiences of our lives.

At the same time, our beautiful boy turned five and began one of the biggest transitions of his young life starting school.

Like many parents, I found myself feeling all the emotions.

Pride. Excitement. Tenderness. And a deep awareness of how quickly these precious years pass.

Watching him step so confidently into this new chapter has been nothing short of extraordinary. He is absolutely loving school, and my heart feels so full seeing him thrive.

A Dream Realised

In the midst of all of this, I had the privilege of co-facilitating my first weekend Embrace Retreat at Black Miller.

To say this retreat was a dream come true would be an understatement.

It was everything I had hoped for and then some.

There was a palpable sense of connection, authenticity, vulnerability, laughter, tears, rest, and profound healing. To witness women giving themselves permission to soften, to be held, and to reconnect with themselves was incredibly moving.

Experiences like this remind me exactly why I do the work that I do.

Creating spaces where people feel safe enough to exhale, reconnect, and remember who they are beneath the noise is deeply meaningful to me.

Why I Have Been Quiet

With all of this unfolding, I made the conscious decision to step back from social media and regular blogging.

Not because I had nothing to share.

Quite the opposite.

There has been so much happening both personally and professionally, and I recognised that I needed to reserve my energy.

As much as I love creating, teaching, and connecting, even wonderful life events can be surprisingly depleting.

Buying a home.
Moving.
Supporting Vinnie through the transition to school.
Holding retreat spaces.
Running programmes.
Dreaming up new offerings.

All of these things are deeply fulfilling, but they also require a significant amount of emotional and nervous system capacity.

And so I listened.

Practising What I Teach

This season has become an invitation to truly practise the tools I share with others every day.

At present, I feel as though I am moving through a significant nervous system recalibration.

A slowing down.

A softening.

A gentle return to what matters most.

I have been leaning into restorative yoga, breathwork, meditation, journalling, walks in nature, time by the ocean, and simply allowing myself to be more spacious.

Less pushing.
Less striving.
More listening.
More trusting.

More remembering that rest is not a reward, but a necessity.

The Power of Community and Connection

One of the things that has become increasingly clear to me is just how much we need each other.

In a world that can often feel fast-paced and disconnected, there is something profoundly healing about gathering in community.

This is one of the reasons I’m so excited that our Kula Women’s Circle is now meeting on the first Thursday of every month.

The word kula means community, tribe, or a circle of people who come together with shared intention.

And that is exactly what this space offers.

A place to be seen.
A place to be heard.
A place to connect authentically with other women.
A place where you don’t need to have it all together.

Just as you are.

The response to our first couple of gatherings was incredibly heartwarming, and it reinforced my belief that women deeply need spaces where they can slow down, connect, and remember that they are not alone.

What’s Ahead

Although I’ve been quieter online, there are some beautiful things unfolding.

I’m currently preparing to launch my next Rest & Restore Day Retreat in June, and I’m genuinely so excited.

This retreat will be held in a new location another stunning space where we can gather together to pause, breathe, reconnect, and deeply restore.

These retreats continue to hold a very special place in my heart. They offer an opportunity to step away from the busyness of life and return to the simple but profound practices of rest, self-compassion, and embodied connection.

Thank You for Being Here

If you’ve wondered where I’ve been, this is the honest answer.

I’ve been living.

I’ve been nesting.
Mothering.
Creating.
Resting.
Recalibrating.
And dreaming.

Sometimes the most important work happens quietly behind the scenes.

Thank you for continuing to walk alongside me, even when I’m not posting regularly.

If you have any questions about any of my offerings whether it’s retreats, women’s circles, Eat Breathe Thrive, individual therapy, carer support, or other upcoming events please feel free to reach out.

I would love to hear from you.

Thank you for being part of this community. Together, we can navigate the stepping stones of life with compassion and curiosity.

With gratitude,
