HEllo! I’m Hayley Guinness, founder of Stepping Stones Therapy and Yoga.
I’m proud to provide multifaceted yoga and therapy services that empower you with the tools, strategies, awareness, and confidence to live in alignment with your authentic self.
With over 20 years of experience as a Clinical Nurse Consultant, I specialise in supporting people through:
- Mental health challenges
- Complex trauma
- Recovery from eating disorders and body image concerns
I’ve worked across a variety of clinical settings — including inpatient units, day programs, and community-based services — providing comprehensive assessments, case management, and both individual and group therapy.
I’m also a qualified yoga teacher with over 7 years of experience teaching hatha, restorative, and yin yoga in both clinical and community settings.
My mission is to support people in weaving yoga principles into their daily lives to foster mindfulness, intention, and self-compassion.
Grounded, calm, and nurturing, I offer a safe space for you to explore what’s holding you back and gently move toward your full potential.
At Stepping Stones Therapy and Yoga, I combine my clinical and yoga experience to support you through; individual therapy, tailored yoga classes, workshops and retreats.
My BACKSTORY
I love life! I believe wholeheartedly in the transformative power of yoga both on and off the mat.
Having cultivated my own yoga practice over the years, I’m grateful for its positive impact on my body, mind, spirit and connection to community.
Growing up on a farm by the ocean in NSW Australia, I have long been connected to the joy of simplicity in life. I’ve road-tripped and camped my way along the east coast of Australia and travelled further afield along winding Himalayan roads to stay at ashrams in India.
I seize every opportunity to get out into nature – whether through hiking, swimming, surfing or growing food in my garden. When I’m not saluting the sun, you’ll often find me singing and dancing along to my eclectic taste in music!
I have a playful nature and believe laughter is the best medicine. I love curling up with a good book, forever learning new things and committing to lifelong education. My habit of making rock stacks while wandering in nature and cultivating a mindfulness practice is reflected in my logo for Stepping Stones Therapy and Yoga.
I’m committed to ongoing learning and professional development.
